Wintergrams

Some more instas for your viewing play-sure. It's been about 6 months since the last similar post, which was full of summergrams, so, enjoy. Even though I think most people who read this blog, also follow me on Instagram. So, it'll be a bit of a blast from the past for ya. Here are the wintergrams. I'll post fall ones soon. vielleicht.

Post-nap baby.

 Ida on stilts.

Lars in our partially finished bathroom.

 My kids' shoes.

We need new windows. Here they are on a particularly frosty morning.

Buncha rascals

Close-up of Lars because...how could I not.

My very large collection of old journals.

One of my journals from college. Aren't you just dying to peek inside...

Mankato 2013!

Theo got all greens in January. (meaning, he behaved and kept his hands to himself at school every day. Kinda huge for him.)

Lars ready for winter.

Ida, super-ready for winter.

Punxsutawney Pudding Cup.

Mini Gerberas, ready for an early spring.

Ida spent her allowance money on a blue shiny belt and a pink shiny belt. She wears one or the other just about every day.

Lars eating an array of pale foods.

Lars super psyched about sitting in Ida's carseat.

Running on the treadmill while Ida watches Blue's Clues. A very common occurrence.

Saturday morning at the temple.

I gave Ida my old American Girl doll and my mom gave her matching nightgowns to wear with Samantha.

Lars and his friend fell asleep during my run one morning and they finished their naps in the backyard.

Ida is such a buddy.

Hello Kitty x 3

Lars broke my glasses. Or as Matt said to him, "You finally put Mama out of her misery." I've had these glasses for 12 years and complained about them all the time. This forced me to get new ones.

Playing before bed.

Captain Hook.

The best peanut butter is from Trader Joe's.

 Lars is cute.
New lights. Which I installed myself...thanks, I know, it's great news for us. We're all really excited about it.

Lars is still cute.

It poured rain this morning and the sun came out this afternoon. It's been in the 50s for a week. SPRING HAS SPRUNG!

Grams

Now that it's fall, here's the rest of the summer on instagrammy.

Lars scored his own seat on our way home from Utah. I am strongly considering buying him his own ticket the next time we fly. It was that great.

Lars in a cupboard.

Theo looking every bit of his 5 1/2 years.

Lars waiting patiently (mostly) at Theo's swimming lessons

Lars with Uncle Noah

Lars at the local spray park (sensing a theme here, but can Lars help it if he is the cutest member of the family?)

I love Dr. Spock so much. He speaks to me. At the thrift store one day I picked up the 1960 edition of his famous book. #booyeah

Speaking of thrift stores, here's a jaunty little thrifted number. Shirt dresses on a 3-year-old? Sign me up.

Don't know if it's a funeral, or a cookout, or if the horsey toy is just taking a nap, but everyone's interested.

Hannah had a birthday and Robbie surprised her with a karaoke party. It was really fun. I want to do more karaoke. After the party I kept thinking of good karaoke songs. "The Good Life" by Weezer, "Somebody That I Used to Know," my jam by Gotye (I'm obsessed), "Loser" by Beck, anything that involves either super dramatic harmonizing or super fast singing.

Lars usually wakes up before anyone else in the house. One morning (one of maybe...3 all summer, if that) I woke up soon enough to grab him before he woke the other kids up, so we hung out in the basement for a couple of hours until they woke up on their own.

Lars got his first haircut. Oh and he needed it.

 Ida in floral and floral.

 There's the horsey again

Took Theo back-to-school shopping and bought all his stuff--jeans, shoes, jacket, shirts--in one go. Poor kid was not exactly having the time of his life. Not until we hit up Sbarro that is. Oh Sbarro. So disgusting. Yet so irresistible to my children.

SEPTEMBER, HERE WE COME! I mean, here we are.

Insta, Insta, Shh-Shh-Shh

I'm baaaa-aaaack!

I got an Android phone a few months ago and joined Instagram (@wavehelloagain). I'm pretty sure that is 75% responsible for my complete lack of blogging. Speaking of 75%, about 75% of the time whenever I say the word "Instagram" I want to sing it, "Insta, Insta, Shh-Shh-Shh." Anyone? Did you ever sing that song when you were a kid? Apparently it's called Three Jolly Fishermen. I only remembered the Amster, Amster, Shh-Shh-Shh part.

Anyway I finally figured out how to load pictures onto my computer from my phone. Here are a few Instas from the past month. Insta, Insta, Shh-Shh-Shh. Maybe I'll even do this again sometime, like more frequently than every 2 months.

 Lars in the car(s)
 Lars + popsicle
Evening view from my parking lot at work
After 2 years of letting my clock hang broken on the wall, I got it fixed.
 Ida is cute.
 Lars loved his birthday brownie.
 Dress-ups.
We are very slowly getting our kitchen done. Maybe by Labor Day.
Lars + Ikea ice cream cone
 Ida + s'mores
Did you know fire engines come in yellow?
During the kitchen floor install, the fridge hung out in our living room for about 2 weeks.
We went camping and spent the entire day at the lake. This was a few hours before... The Storm Broke. (Father of the Bride reference in case you missed that.)
Ida filled out her summer reading form all by herself by copying letters from the covers of books. Adorable. If I do say so.
 Creepy doll.
 Favorite ice cream ever.
I bought a junky old chalkboard from the thrift store and it keeps my kids very entertained. Hangman doesn't actually have to have real words, I found out.
 Sunglasses.
Going to check out eBay for one of these dollhouses, one of these days.
On our way to Midway. (We went to UT.)
Bowling in CA with a baby on my back. (We went to CA.)
 Lars with his cousin Felicity.
I wish we could have spent more time in the BYU MOA. I love it there.
 Tired baby.
First time eating J-Dawgs. Pretty fly for a hot dog.

I have more to share. Actual words to write. Really!
