Thanks for a lazy Saturday

I can’t remember the last time we had a Saturday with no meets or games, no church activities, no volunteer events, no obligations outside of yard work, house work, and keeping up our Duolingo streaks. 

Technically, Ida did have a stage crew work day at school, but she thinks that’s fun. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Also Polly dogsat our friend’s dog, but she thinks that’s fun.

It was nice today to sleep in, tune in, turn on, and drop out. (Jk about those last 3, I’m a little bit hippie but not full hippie.)

Because it’s the end of the first school quarter—which (I think purposely) ended with a half day on Halloween and the second quarter will begin the day after Election Day—my kids have had a 5 1/2 day weekend. It’s been glorious. Have I gotten much accomplished? No, but I needed a rest. Also, wouldn’t it be nice if Election Day were a federal holiday? Let’s get the people voting.
