Well, just to update, I broke up with Matt last night.

I mean like really broke up, like I’ll probably never see him again. Talk about trauma. After he dropped me off, I sort of stumbled into my apartment, told my roommate Megan (who expressed sympathy, but doesn’t really know the story, haha), and said, “So if you hear me crying in my room or something, don’t worry about it." Haha. So then I stumbled into my room, turned on Coldplay, sat in my dark bathroom and sobbed for a few minutes. Then I called Hester and she said, “Eliza, you can’t cry by yourself," so she came over.

It sounds funny now, and it kind of was at the time, but it was also pretty sad. As I was walking into my building, I ran into some guy in my ward and he’s like, “Hey, whatcha doing? What’s new?" etc. etc. and I remember thinking, “Should I say I just broke up with my boyfriend?" Of course I didn’t - say that I mean - besides I was trying not to cry. So I’m like, “You know...just...hanging out!" He’s all, “Just being Eliza, huh?" Haha. If he only knew.

So anyway, the Actual Break was pretty clean, not too bad. Just sad. It was a lot easier to talk about dumping him when I hadn’t seen him in a few weeks. But like as soon as I saw him thoughts starting going through my head like, “Don’t do it!" But I stuck to me guns, and I know it was the right thing to do.

It’s just sad knowing I’ll never see him again. Well maybe someday, but probably not.

So now I’m watching the “Cry Me a River" video on my computer. I LOVE this song! Haha, I used to hate it. And I’m not the hugest fan of his other song. But I love this one. He IS Michael Jackson. And Timbaland’s face when he’s in the car during “oh! the damage is done, so I guess I’ll be leavin’”- priceless. I’m serious, I love this. Also the MJ-style “no!" in the background. “Doooon’t it make you sad about it -!"

So there won’t be Matt updates for awhile, at least not having anything to do with my personal contact with him. I’m not interested in anyone else, thank you very much...I’ve been hanging out every day with this kid Mark in my ward who’s really funny, but for once in my life, we’re actually just friends. Who knows if “anything" will “happen," but I doubt it. He’s awesome though. I just met him a week ago and it feels like I’ve known him forever. It’s really weird. I’m more myself with him than anyone except maybe Hester and Hannah. And Joel, in days of yore. Every time I come home from hanging out with him, my roommate Megan says, “Did you kiss him yet or what?" Haha....no, my life’s not that interesting anymore. No kissing for me. Whatever happens happens, that’s what I say.

I enjoy the song “Warning Sign" by CP. “Come on in. I’ve gotta tell you what a state I’m in. I’ve gotta tell you in my loudest tones that I started looking for a warning si-i-i-ign..."

In related news, I got called to be a Relief Society teacher. My first lesson is this Sunday! Ack! What if I’m a total failure? I hope not. I’m kind of excited and nervous.

Do you ever just feel gross? I mean clothes, hair, face. I always feel gross on Wednesdays for some reason. Well this semester, at least. And that sucks because it’s my longest day - I’m here from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Feeling disgusting. My hair’s all dry and wacky, my face itches, I’m wearing glasses and the same jeans I’ve worn almost every day this semester.

I ran into "A" yesterday - guy I had a huge crush on last year. He was in my ward. He lives in King Henry now. Boo to that. What’s funny is none of the crush feeling came back. I am completely uncrushing right now.

Yeah, brief update on the weekend as well - went sledding Friday night - made a sled out of a recliner and skis. Did I mention that? It was a little scary. Then Sunday Mark and I went walking at Bridal Veil Falls and I slipped on the ice 3 times. The third time I bruised my tailbone. Serious ouch. It was a little embarrassing as well, haha. And now it hurts to walk up stairs. Monday I went snowshoeing to Stuart Falls, which was an insane workout, but it was fun. And I got sunburned. It was HOT! And very sunny. And the sun was very reflective on the snow, hence the sunburn. It was like 50 degrees or something. T-shirt weather, especially when you’re breaking a sweat.

Yeah, that was fun. Fun weekend, but too bad I didn’t do ANY homework. Now I have to do it all in between work and class today. I’m working until 11, then I have class from 1-4:15, then work from 5-9. Bah.

I love you all.

Wednesday Song: Don’t Panic - Coldplay. “We live in a beautiful world." I cried so hard to that song last night. Weird.
Thing I love of the day: that’s kind of a hard one today, actually, haha...thing I love... Having good friends.
