Roll Bounce
Matt and I saw 50+ movies in 2005. (when I won free movie tickets for a year...if you have spent much time with me you may have noticed that I often try to find a way to work that fact into conversations, or blog posts, especially since I really haven't seen that many movies since then.) A lot of those were embarrassingly bad--Monster-in-Law, shudder! Some of them were funny--I still laugh at Fever Pitch even after watching it over and over. A few were epic--Batman Begins, be still my heart! How I love me a good solid dark Batman flick. A lot of the movies we watched were fine, and most were not particularly memorable. I probably couldn't name more than 10 for you right now.
But, I randomly thought of Roll Bounce today. I never hear anything about that movie and I've never talked to anyone else who saw it. But Matt and I loved it. It was cute, funny, and nostalgic, and you can't say no to a skate-off/dance-off. It's the kind of movie that, if I hadn't been constantly looking for movies to see, probably would have completely passed me by. Not incidentally, 2005 was also the year that Matt gave me roller skates for my birthday.
Enjoy!

I am totally watching this with Brigham. He is going to love it, I can tell. Really.
The music alone lures me in.
