Ella is 10 today. Not to be embarrassing (how embarrassing when you're 10 and your OLD aunt reminisces about when you were little) but I remember when I came home from college for Christmas break my freshman year, and went to Grandma Helen's Christmas party, and you came over to me and sat in my lap and hugged me and didn't move for about an hour. You were close to Theo's age.
Yikes...does this mean that I'll blink and Theo will be 10 too?

You will blink - and he will be 10!! When Bonny was 10, we had just been in California for a year - but she had a birthday party on the patio. When Phoebe was 10, Noah was a baby, so I don't remember much. When Hannah was ten I was substitute teaching - isn't that when I made the cake that looked like dirt with flowers growing in it? And when you were ten, I think I had just started subbing. When Harry was ten, I was pregnant with you - and miserable, so I don't think he got much of a celebration. And when Noah was ten, we had grandkids!!
So enjoy it while it's there - and maybe write it all down so you won't forget!!
We did have the dirt cake that year. (Good memory, Mom! The right year and everything.) I was obsessed with sunflowers. Also, right after my 10th birthday, Cosmo disappeared.
I'm going to have to stop typing before I choke up. (Only kind of joking.)
