Thanks for my kitchen

It’s the little kitchen that could...

We gave this guy a “remodel lite” back in 2012 or so. The crummy old cabinets got a new life with a few coats of paint, and they have hung on admirably (two thumbs up for Benjamin Moore). I still really like the sink fixtures, but they have taken a lot of abuse from four kids and will need replacing soon... also replacing caulk around the sink is a project I’ve been avoiding. The floor and counters need more maintenance than I would like (waxing and oiling, respectively) but when I do put in the work, they shine up nice!

Do I want to remodel it for real? Well... yes. But the lite version has given us an incredible bang for the buck. It’s super functional. All six of us crowded in it throughout the day today, to make Thanksgiving dinner for... the six of us. It was actually really fun. I couldn’t be happier with this little kitchen that could.
