I chaperoned Ida’s 5th-grade field trip today, and it was... a long day. The kids had a good time and learned a lot (it was team-building exercises at an outdoor camp in the woods... for 7 hours... in 40-degree weather) but it was so tiring in every way. Honestly one of the reasons I chaperone field trips is to remind myself how thankful I am for schoolteachers!

That's quite an activity - they do events like that here but usually overnite - don't know if I'd want to chaperone kids overnight!!
