(Missed a day, sorry! I’ll make up for it)
This child really should still have a daily nap and I blame myself for not enforcing it. In the meantime, she takes daily naps wherever she might be. Usually in her carseat, but sometimes in somebody’s arms. She transfers well to the couch.
Polly is experiencing a resurgence in thumb-sucking. I told her not to do it at school because of germs. Her response:
“But can I at least have, like, one little lick?”
After an attempt to “go before we go”:
“I can’t pee. Maybe the toilet is broken.”
We got home to find that a friend had left zucchini bread on our porch. Her reaction:
“I did NOT see that coming!”
Fall is in the air:
“It smells good out here! It smells like weather.”
Philosophical musings (or perhaps just for inventory):
“How much things is in this world?”
At 4 1/2 years old, Polly loves to “sungle,” she loves her dad but is a mama’s girl in the extreme, she makes her own lunch (although she still balks at doing just about any other chore), she loves to play outside with the neighbor kids, she loves trashy TV (the 4-year-old version of course. Barbie’s Life in the Dreamhouse, I’m looking at you), she loves Primary and knows all the songs, and she is generally just a delight to be around. I thank God for my Polly every day!
