Update, it worked! Woohoo!
So, after a fairly restless night (it was my fault, I ate a bag of very VERY expired chips and a pint of ice cream for dinner, it was so wrong but it felt so right)(until it didn’t) I finally got up today and determined that I would get my act together.
So after doing some aimless tidying around the house, I sat down and filled out our family calendar for June. Matt and I use a shared google calendar, but the kids like to see everything written out, which I totally get.
As parents across the land know, May is always a whirlwind month and this year has been no different for us, between soccer and school ending, swim team starting, Theo moving up to middle school and the other kids also having their various end of year activities. Every day it seems like there’s a science fair or a band concert or a field trip. Not to mention the year-round therapy and piano and church. It’s not going to stop anytime soon, but I love it even if I complain about it, because it’s a sign of life, we are living, our kids are growing and thriving, I am so glad to provide these experiences for them, I love it and I couldn’t ask for more.
And I am VERY THANKFUL that we live in walking distance of the school, the pool, and (blessing of blessings) this season’s soccer fields! Whew, we couldn’t pull this off otherwise!

I do love your posts - May is a hectic month - and it's not even the total end of school around here!
