A motherhood moment--

Tonight's soccer practice was canceled because of rain
Ida and Theo made dinner (noodles and zoodles, a Wednesday night staple) and then sort of cleaned up the kitchen (did a passable job)
So now,
Theo is practicing the piano
Ida is organizing her desk
Lars is sitting at the kitchen table listening to the Book of Mormon on my iPhone (?)(shrug)(I'll take it!)
Polly is standing on the chair behind me putting various clips in my hair
I am catching up on housekeeping (things like swim team emails and figuring out my budget) using my new computer
Not every evening is so industrious and calm... in fact my evenings rarely are. But it is so nice when they are!

I used to love you kids combing my hair and putting clips in!!
I have been trying to get Justin to watch braiding tutorials online but he apparently doesn’t have the time. So I am really looking forward to my nieces visiting next month who LOVE to braid and do hair!!
