Thanks for the motherland
I am thankful to live in the United States. Amber waves of grain, fruited plain, liberating strife, mercy more than life, etc. etc.
I will be honest: I'm a tiny bit afraid of what's going to happen on November 8. I honestly have no predictions. I feel like anything could happen.
But I'm hopeful at the same time. I am hopeful that things will work out for us in the end and the greatest country in the world won't turn into a big smoking heap of garbage.
I am hopeful that we'll keep hanging on to democracy. I've been thinking of this poem, "Otto's Basement." I love it. It's so true.
God bless America! (no really...please...God...bless America. Please.)
Bonus, remember "You can vote however you like"? (single tear)
