Ida was baptized today. I was sort of all over the place so I didn't get a photo of her with Matt...or of her in her baptism dress (the same one I wore when I was baptized)... Or of her with the little girl who got baptized at the same time. (I only happen to have this photo because my dad texted it to me)
But anyway it was a very nice service. Friends and family were there. My mother-in-law gave a talk about the Holy Ghost, and my good friend played the piano, and my dad led the music. I got to give a talk as well in my new capacity as Primary president. It was so nice to be there together and celebrate these two little girls and think about what the future might hold for them.
Ida is sensitive, observant, super smart, funny, silly, affectionate, and simply lovely. I am blessed beyond words to associate with her, never mind raise her. She's a wonderful sister. She's a wonderful daughter. Her future is bright.
