Well, Christmas is officially here and I'm not as ready as I thought I'd be. I did manage to put the outside lights up today because it was 70 degrees and tomorrow it's dropping to the 30s. I'm pretty impressed with myself about that. Possibly the first time I've put Christmas lights up on a day that I didn't need a coat and gloves. Also tonight I got out the wall advent calendar and the Playmobil nativity, and Saturday night I wrapped 24 Christmas books for the kids' advent basket.
Shoot, maybe I'm further ahead than I thought. I just won't go in the basement and remind myself of all the laundry and miscellaneous stuff scattered around down there. (No sense in getting out all the Christmas stuff while the house is still a mess. First things first) I also won't think about how I have done only about 2% of my Christmas shopping. And I'll ignore the fact that while Christmas lights and a Christmas wreath are hanging outside, on top of my piano I still have a bunch of pumpkins and squashes lined up.
Finally I'll leave you with this little treasure from last week. Nothing to do with anything, just made me smile.
