Thanks for IKEA.

I was surprised to find yesterday that for the first time, Lars is now tall enough for Småland, aka IKEA daycare. The kids were dying to stay and play for an hour (IKEA Family card FTW), which they often do when I shop there, but I had nothing to shop for this time and no money anyway, so...I chilled all alone in a fake living room for a while and watched Planet Earth. Bonus that the fake living room had a fake Christmas tree.

Also I hope Lars didn't bring home some gross virus from the ball pit. Ball pits should really be outlawed.

Oh and also I'm thankful for Kids Eat Free Tuesdays, the main reason we went to IKEA yesterday, which usually ends with me spending $200 on something else. But this time all I bought was butcher paper and power strips.

Also, why does my autocorrect put IKEA in all caps? Is that the official proper way to write it? Seems weird. OK, I looked it up and Google tells me IKEA is actually an acronym. GTK.

I probably should have blogged about how I'm thankful I voted. Well, I am thankful I voted. And I am thankful for America, and that in America--or wherever--if you go to IKEA you can also have a little taste of Sweden in the form of mass-produced, probably-not-made-with-horsemeat meatballs, and free daycare. Ektorp!

Ha, ha, ha. Wish they'd had IKEA when I was young with children.
