Although we live far away from our parents, we are lucky enough to see both sets a couple of times a year. Phil and Lynnette visited us last weekend and...We Had a Berry Good Time. Especially Lars, as you can see below.
On our way home from the farm--where we loaded up on strawberries and Lars discovered a profound love of chickens--we stopped at Fort Washington. It was pretty much deserted and fun for the kids to run around.

My favorite thing we did with P&L was Gravelly Point, which, unbelievably, we had not yet visited in almost 7 years of living here. We'd always meant to but hadn't. I'll take the kids back again soon and get pictures. It was really amazing. It's a park on the Potomac, right next to Reagan Airport, where you can watch planes land and take off right over your head. Like so close above us that we had Theo convinced if he stretched far enough, he could touch them.
