Larsy-bones
Larsy-bones is Ida's nickname for Lars, which always makes me chuckle. Lars has been coming up with so many new words in the past 2 weeks and it is killing me. I am surprised each time at how delighted I am to hear him talk. He is by far the most cheerful person in our family and he makes us all laugh pretty much just by looking at him. What a great age. I need to remember that when he screams and has tantrums--which he does...although not really as often as Theo and I do, and I'm barely exaggerating.
His first words were "cheese," "dog," and "binky." He recently added "Ida" and "Theo," "thank you" and "here you go," "tree," "banana" ("nana"), "Clementine" ("nine"), "hi" and "bye" (which are both actually "die" while he waves...just so you know, he's not cursing you or anything when he says "DIE! DIE!" and waves his arms at you), "dad," "mama," and "night night." The first time he said "night night" was one afternoon when I said, "Lars, are you ready for a nap?" and he responded with excitement, "Nigh-nigh! Dee-dee, ee-go!" ("night-night! binky, here you go!") He signs "all done," "more," and "eat" and is SO pleased with himself every time he signs something. I really wish it were practical to take video of everything Lars is doing these days and keep it with me always to watch whenever I am feeling down. I am trying so hard to soak in this time since I know how quickly it passes. What a blessing Lars is to us.

Hope you are showing him lots of photos of us so he'll be willing to come to us!!
What a cute boy. That phase really does pass way to quickly. It sounds like you are enjoying it though.
