Mop, mop, cha-cha-cha.

As I mentioned earlier, I found a bunch of CDs when we cleaned out the storage room a few weeks ago. So I have been rotating through music I forgot I had. I haven't yet joined the 21st century when it comes to music...although my phone can play music, I never remember how to load it, and I don't have an iPod either (which I also wouldn't know what to do with), so I listen to CDs, which are scattered in boxes throughout my house. I may even still have cassette tapes somewhere.

For a librarian I am awfully disorganized...and awfully Behind the Times. At least I do know how to post music on my blog even if I don't know how to download it to my phone. I mean, upload it. I mean...

Anyway, so I put in some Etta James. Nothing like jitterbugging in my apron while mopping the kitchen floor for the 3rd time in the same day. (Watermelon...it makes its way everywhere.) That should sound depressing but it is actually fun once in a while as long as you include the apron and the dancing. Am I convincing anybody?

Of course I love the classic "At Last" but these are 2 more upbeat Etta songs that I personally enjoy. I threw in "Moon River Cha-Cha" by Henry Mancini too, because I love "Moon River" in all its forms and it is also good housekeeping music.

I love Etta James, I have her on my I-pod. How do you not have an I-pod??? That news is so shocking to me. It makes me want to go out and buy you one because I feel like your life would be improved greatly. It is hard for me to handle playing trains with Owen for hours on end, but if I have the option of downloading any song I want at a moments notice and listening to it over and over again WHILE I play trains then I can handle it so much better.

I don't have an iPod either - and I can barely work the cd players in our house!! But I knew how to work a record player and a tape recorder, so my kids grew up with songs for certain occasions - like "In the Hall of the Mountain King" or maybe the Wombles. Got lots done with those tunes!!

sooo funny that you type this because I made an uber awesome mix of my fav songs and was just thinking how I'd love to burn a cd for you. aAnd I was just wondering, "Eliza has so much music...I wonder if she has it all on cd's or iTunes." Somehow I've made the technological leap and graduated to an iPod and having all my music on my computer. I'm really rambling here. Long story short, fb message me your new address because i would love to send you this. Very good house-cleaning, apron-wearing music!

I have an iPod, I should probably give it to you, as I never use it and do not know how to load music on it. Phil loaded some music on it for me when I first got it (Stand By Your Man by Tammy Wynett) also a lot of scriptures.
What a mix.
