My speaking line: "Look, there he is!" Cockney accent included, so... "Looke, thehre 'e eez!" Upon further reflection, I don't actually remember who " 'e" was. Oliver maybe?
I decided at the last minute to audition, choosing "I Got Rhythm," which the pianist already had in her stack of sheet music. The key of the pianist's version was a little too high for me so I either sang it in falsetto or in an octave lower than written--I can't remember which. Did I snap my fingers to the beat? I can't remember that either, but I hope so!
Ah got rhythm, Ah got music, Ah got mah man, who could ask for anything moooooore!
Good times. Just wanted to let you know about that before I sing,
So long, fare thee well,
pip, pip, cheerio,
we'll
be
back
soon!
pip, pip, cheerio,
we'll
be
back
soon!
because I will...and with more show tunes to boot, if you'd like.
