I find the funniest things on the floor after Theo goes to bed. (If you have a strong stomach, sometime I'll tell you about what I found on the library-book basket one night.) This set of blocks is included in probably 50% of his play time during the day. He loves arranging and rearranging them into various patterns, or making little cities, or lining them up in a row on the couch. And he is so serious about it. Don't try to help or he'll immediately rearrange your contribution. I'm so proud to be passing my obsessive traits on to my progeny.

I'm glad you mentioned the obsessive traits before I did. Now I don't mind mentioning that was my first thought.
Hey, don't get between a boy and his blocks.
Those blocks are great! I remember loving a set like that at my Grandma's house. Where did you get them?
The blocks are by Melissa & Doug. Funny, he often turns up his nose at blocks that are not multicolored. I buy most M&D stuff at places like TJ Maxx or Marshall's or the thrift store, but I noticed recently that A.C. Moore (a craft store) has a large selection of them also. I love buying at craft stores because of the frequent 40% or 50% off sales. Although M&D might be excluded from those.
Blocks are wonderful things.
Ours are mostly wood colored, but we have a smattering of colored ones.
In case you plan a visit you know!!
