I mentioned this in tomorrow's post, which happens to be Ida's very long birth story, and I thought it deserved its own post:
Alias series finale. We watched it the night before Ida was born. Recap: Irina and Sloane getting it! What was coming to them, that is. Loving Jack Bristow. Loving Dixon. (how can you not? I wish I could find a picture of my favorite Alias moment: season 2, Dixon as a nightclub DJ in Mexico City.) And still loving Sloane. Thinking I need to own Alias: The Complete Collection (Rambaldi artifact box included in the set!) Thinking I need to be J.J. Abrams's friend since I am his biggest fan. Well, his biggest fan who doesn't dissect episodes of Lost frame by frame on online message boards. OK, maybe more like Felicity's biggest fan but I also like everything else J.J. Abrams does.
Season 5 started off somewhat slowly--so slowly that I stopped watching it when it aired and it took me 3 years to try again--but I ended up thinking it was one of the best.
What did you think?
If you haven't watched Alias yet--what are you waiting for?

The only time I have ever seen Alias was with you - at Phil and Lynnette's - I don't remember much about it.
What sticks in my memory is how much you love i!!
AAAHHH I used to love Alias in high school. I think I had better get the complete collection as well. Robbie doesn't know what he's mission. I haven't seen the fifth season!!!
Also, WHO doesn't love Dixon. And I agree, that was a really funny moment (the DJing). And I can't help but love Sloane/Dad/Larry Brown.
Sorry, another comment, J.J. just gets me all fired up.
Do you keep up with LOST? Because the story is basically the same, in my mind. Well, kind of. Even Felicity is similar. (Kind of a stretch, but hear me out!) Ben Linus is like Sloane. Do we hate him? Do we love him? (Who could love him, really?) Megan is similar. Hate her at first, then she becomes an ally. Seriously...
I'm glad someone else has this guilty pleasure, I own 3 of the seasons and borrow the others from friends! I also j'adore Jack and Sloane...
I have thought that also, that Ben and Sloane are the same. Although I do have to say that I cared a lot more about Sloane than I do about Ben.
Hannah, get the 5th season TODAY and keep watching even if it's slow at first when she's pregnant. She has the baby and then it gets back to business within just a few episodes. Will comes back...and Jack is awesome...Seriously the finale will blow your mind.
(and although I see your point with Megan, she's not quite as murky as Sloane and Ben.)
I borrowed all 5 seasons from a friend last summer and LOVED them! I am pretty sure that is all I did for about a month.
I agree that season 5 is one of the best, even if it is a little slow at the beginning. Sticking to it was worth it.
And Jack is pretty much my favorite! So good.
I am glad to see that other people love Alias. I thought I was alone in the world!
Alias got me through a few weeks of bed rest with Calvin. However, I had trouble finishing the series. this past year I finally finished season 5 and it was worth the wait!
By FAR my favorite season. I LOVED everything about it! I thought Rachel and Tom were a good new addition and I loved how Vaughn came back. My heart broke at the end for Sloan...so sad! Jack and Dixon will always hold a place in my heart...especially towards the end when Dixon had those tiny little braids...dang sweet!
I don't like Jennifer Garner. She has the body of a man and broke Scott Foley's heart. The End.
Alias is the most amazing show EVER! I watched them all after the fact and I loved the last few minutes of the series finale with what happens in the future!
And I didn't like the 5th season because of the super annoying blonde girl. I think I could spend my life happily watching and rewatching that show.
