Remember to let little boys enjoy the "girl" things.
I will never forget how crushed Noah was that the girls got bouquets of tulips and he got a spring pinned on his coal lapel - he definitely felt short-changed.
Most boys love to play house - they see their moms and dads working in the home - especially in the kitchen - and want to replicate it.
So let them!!
And let girls play with boy toys too.
And it won't hurt a two or three year old boy to get his fingernails painted when mom and sis are doing it! Get red and blue and yellow polish, alternate nails and call it Superman nails!!
Oh my! She is so beautiful! Theo, of course is sooo cute! No advice, just muddle through as best you can, and trust your gut, instincts, and the spirit. well, I guess that is advice after all.
While you're at it I'll take advice on raising boys, too.

Especially after yesterday's hectic day!!
But I posted an 8 by 10 copy of one of the great shots of Ida - and everyone was sufficiently impressed.
One boy said, "She looks a lot like my 6 month old brother."
Kids do say the darndest things, now don't they?
But another student, a girl named Unique, said, "My auntie had a baby on Sunday - a girl. Maybe they can be friends!"
Ida looks kind of concerned in the 2nd photo.

Just spoil them rotten- they are both so cute they deserve it!
