For a week or so I was really good at writing posts the day before and post-dating them to 7:00 the next morning. I'm going to try starting that up again today.
For now, you can think of Theo and me as we go to get him stuck once again by needles. I figured maybe we should get his 18-month shots in before it's time for his 24-month ones. And if you want you can meet me afterward for a consolation Cold Stone. (As always I recommend the Ghirardelli chocolate; the regular chocolate can't touch that stuff.)
Also, maybe the doctor can clue me in as to why Theo, former champion sleeper of the world, chose to wake up just about once an hour last night and shriekingly, desperately, point at his CD player. Why didn't we just put it on repeat? I don't know. Would it have made a difference? Somehow I doubt it.

Maybe Theo was in tune with Agnes, who also decided that she didn't believe in sleep last night. But I did figure out it is because she is getting a 4 (!) molars at teh same time.
tell Theo I feel his pain. Sunday night, after I left your house, I slept soundly from 9 pm to 6 am. However, last night, I didn't fall asleep until after 2 am! If I thought shrieking and pointing at my CD player (ie ipod) would help I would do it too.
Maybe secretly he knew you were taking him for vaccinations today?
I was on Theo's schedule last night, but I only screamed about half the time!
Must be something going around. Greg and I were up in the middle of the night, too. We could hear the little girl next door crying. We usually never hear her, so maybe it was the moon.
Who knows why babies wake up at night?
Although I do know why I wake up at night.
(to go to the bathroom - and if I make like a zombie and don't turn on any lights, I usually go right back to sleep!)
Good luck - hope it's just a passing fad!
ugh...I hope that it is a fad, or the moon. Because he has been doing it off and on for about a week. Initially I thought maybe it was separation anxiety because he woke up the night after having a babysitter and then the night after going to nursery. But then it continued for 2 more nights...I don't know! Why can't he just tell me what's the matter!!
It might be his last canine which is finally coming in. Or my dr. said he could be having nightmares. gahhhhh!
I don't understand why some kids can sleep thru anything (my first two) and some kids don't (my last two).
Good luck on getting some sleep tonight. The tylenol with the shots might help.
Or, how Theo normally does sleep through everything...or used to. I used to be able to go in his room minutes after he'd fallen asleep, rummage through the closet, put away toys and laundry, etc., without waking him up. Not this week...or for the past several weeks actually. He has become a lighter sleeper than he used to be.
