59-0...really?

Really.

I'd like to thank UCLA (also the Googies) for putting my husband in a great mood on Saturday night.

I will always cherish this pose by Sterling and Dave, by the way. And I just noticed that Dave is wearing a red shirt...

So the game was probably not the only reason they were chipper, but if it had been, say, 0-59, there would have been a certain pall cast over the evening...weekend...week...at my house anyway.

So...sorry for the pall at your house, Bruin fans.

...really?

...I'll let you think about that one for a little bit. (hint: Googie is the way Theo pronounces the name of the mascot. check the label on the post)

By the way, I was not trying to be snide with that comment! I just wasn't sure (still not) if you were kidding. Either way it's funny. :)

Maybe consider it payback for pointing out that I never actually finished Les Miserables due to my slacker student ways that I never actually grew out of...Maybe I am not meant to know the whole story. You know, didn't finish the book, fell asleep during the show.

I was stuck in Googie traffic for an hour on Saturday when I was driving from the Riverwoods to pick up Robbie at the MTC (which is usually a 6 minute drive or so). I didn't know that the fans stayed in the stadium the entire time when the other team was obviously getting shut down, but apparently leaving before the clock runs out is a lot like leaving General Conference before the closing prayer.

yeah, they were probably having a pretty good time watching the shutout. personally i wasn't super interested by about 35-0 (not that i was watching before that--i wasn't. i was taking a nap), but it was probably more exciting at the actual game.

Well there was a noticeable pall at my house Greg being a UCLA fan. Man, what an embarrassing game.

Ok I figured it out.

And I deserved to be laughed at.

We're even. :)

There was celebrating here in Monrovia also.

I was at Stake Conference - but many were noticeably absent.
