Many of my favorite smells remind me of scented My Little Ponies. Coconut and pina colada, as well as other sweet yet nameless fragrances that I occasionally come across, catapult me back 20 or so years.
I was recently given some body polish that doesn't actually smell like a My Little Pony, but somehow it leaves me smelling like one. It actually makes me a little bit sick after a while, but for those first few minutes it is a lovely retreat into the past.
As a side note, in case you are wondering, there's a Guide to My Little Ponies for Non-Collectors on eBay. If you are a collector, however, it "will not be terribly useful to you, as it will cover only the most basic of pony information."

I love "My Little Pony".
I wish I knew where all of mine were. I just love how smell connects you to a time.
Pink Lemonade Lip Smackers always reminds me of being in 5th grade and the book we were reading at the time I used that chapstick.
We still have a large trash bag full of My Little Ponys - but they have not really caught on with the granddaughters - maybe someone needs to sit down and play it with them!!
Or maybe you just had to be there!!
Maybe presentation is key. "Here is a large trash bag full of gross old plastic ponies." Maybe the next time I visit I will give the ponies some TLC and put them in a respectable container.
I used to love these as a kid. Although I only had one smelly one, (and it still smells.) Turns out my mom kept them all in a suitcase and when McKay turned two, she gave them back to me. The kids still play with them although they like Littlest Petshops better.
Who in the world is giving you body polish? What in the world is body polish? Sounds naughty.
Also, I'm a little embarrassed to admit that I read the Guide to My Little Ponies for Non-Collectors. For a while. Also, Lauren and I ALMOST were My Little Ponies for Halloween because I had a pair of turquoise tights that I thought might do the trick. Didn't work out that way. I miss those ponies.
