"I don't know how to thank you guys." "I don't know why to thank you guys."

The other day, while visiting our favorite store, Unique, Theo and I picked up The Muppet Movie for a cool $3. (I would have contested that but the DVD was in its original wrapping.)

Who would give away a brand-new copy of The Muppet Movie? Come on! It's a classic!

Granted I hadn't seen it (or to be honest, thought about it) in a good 10 or 15 years. And granted the plot is ridiculous and it is full of AWFUL jokes as well as overacting '70s guest stars. And I remembered why I really don't like Miss Piggy. Obnoxious! But the songs are so cute.

I am excited for Theo to be old enough to care, because I think he'll like the Muppets. They're just too funny.

For your listening pleasure, my favorite Muppet Movie songs:

"Movin' Right Along" (Kermit and Fozzie)

"Can You Picture That?" (Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem)

"I Hope That Something Better Comes Along" (Kermit and Rowlf the dog)

and of course, my ultimate favorite, Kermit's "The Rainbow Connection."

I must confess that I've never seen a Muppet movie all the way through - if you kids were wrapped up in a movie, I went and did something else!!

Maybe I will have to sit and watch one sometime.

Maybe Spring Break - when I'm kicking back and taking it easy.

Ha, Ha!!

I LOVE THE MUPPETS!!!! They were my favorite movies growing up. I love vicariously reliving my childhood through your son/blog.

I bought the muppet movie aboiut 6 years ago and also season 1 of the muppet show. It was WAY different than I remember seeing as a kid. Lots of stuff that just went over my head as a kid. But still one of my favorites.

My kids LOVE to watch the muppet show...even Hazel...bad acting and all.

Bless you for making my day!! The quote for your subject heading never ceases me make me laugh for at least 3 minutes! Ahhh, those wonderful muppets! The Muppets In Space movie also has some of the funnest 70s music in it, I love to turn it up and dance!
