I have been posting a lot about my church lately, probably because a lot has been going on.
Lots of parentheses to follow.
My sister Phoebe recently posted about what to how to refer to general authorities (leaders of the LDS Church as a whole) if you want to be respectful. (hint: nicknames are not it) I have to admit that it is tempting to resort to terms of endearment with general authorities (or GAs as I have been known to say) because I am big on terms of endearment with those I know and love (or don't love) as well as those I don't know and love (or don't love).
That said, I am going to continue referring to (now-) President Uchtdorf by his title, as I have always done, despite the great temptation to say "Dieter" in a German accent--because, if you didn't know, I have a rockin' German accent. (really.) I think it might also seem a little disrespectful to say "President Dieter F. Uchtdorf" in a German accent, no matter how great it sounds and how great I think he is, so I won't do that either.
For the record--I don't know President Uchtdorf--or President Eyring, or President Monson--but I do in fact love them all. They are inspired choices to lead this Church.

I know, I know! I have since repented of my "Gordy" phase!
With Uchtdorf is there an "n" sound in it anywhere? My friend claims they kept announcing it that way. As in "Unkdorf"?
probably another utah accent issue
