Guilty feet have got no rhythm.

Old news but...I love this version of this song.

If you haven't gathered, I am a fan of George Michael songs. If only Ben and Rufus had a saxophonist.

It's also in my sidebar playlist if you have the patience to scroll through.

Matt and I saw Ben Folds/Guster/Rufus Wainwright at Wolf Trap when we lived in Virginia 4 years ago (yikes), wherein Ben and Rufus performed this lil' number. Rufus Wainwright has an amazing voice, by the way. It was one of the best shows I've ever been to. The best being David Gray '06...ahhh...

I haven't been to a concert in So Long. I think in fact that the last one I went to might even have been David Gray. Actually I think it was Belle and Sebastian. Also '06.

Maybe this is sad, but I think the next "show" we see will be the U2 3D movie. Not that going to see the movie in itself is sad--it's supposed to be great--but just sad that we never go to concerts anymore.

Anyway, hope you like the song.

There are worse things than not going to concerts for the next few years.

You could never have gone to any in the past!

But you could move closer and we'd tend the kids while you went to them!!

We may have to take both of you up on the offers. Maybe we'll take in a show in CA this summer. I haven't really been keeping up on the music scene around here although I recently discovered DC Rock Club, a group of guys who go to one rock show or concert per week. They're kind of potty mouths on their blog but the band reviews are interesting and they have a list of upcoming shows.

WOOT! A fellow Ben Folds (Five - I always have to add that because that's what they were when I started listening to them... yes, I am old. HAHA!) Fan! Not many people I know care for them so much. What a great version of that song! I went and downloaded the sheet music for it because I enjoyed the piano in that video so much! Thank you!

You are lucky to have been to so many concerts :) The only ones I've been to were after marriage and a kiddo. And we just found a babysitter and went and rocked out to my favorite band (Barenaked Ladies). Three.. different... times. Hee hee!

:D

I love the way they start to harmonize.
I love all things George Michael.

I also think that the last concert I went to was Belle and Sebastian with you all! Before that was Neil Diamond. SO worth the money.

I am glad you enjoyed the song.

Shanae, I like BFF too!--one of my fave albums ever is The Unauthorized Biography of Reinhold Messner. But I never saw them in concert. They broke up before I started listening to them. My first concert ever was Dixie Chicks in 2000 and I never stopped...at least, until a year and a half ago. I doubt I will ever see the DCs in concert again, since I don't know anyone who would go with me and there are a lot of bands I would rather see, but it sure was a fun show.

My dream concert currently (and Matt's) is Radiohead. That and going to every U2 concert until they stop touring. I don't know if Matt will keep going with me though. Oh yes and seeing David Gray as many times as possible. I know Matt won't go with me to see him, but I will go alone if I have to.

BTW my concert motto is that I never regret going to concerts, I just regret not going. So far that has held true--I regret not going to: Coldplay 03 and Radiohead 06. Despite the money, concerts are just so much fun. Even if I've seen a band before, it is always fun to see them again, as long as I liked them the first time.

You know at least one person who would go to a Dixie Chicks concert with you! I have been wanting to see them for sooo long!

Hey I've been to see Neil Diamond twice, because my mom was such a huge fan when I was growing up...it was a really good show, as I remember. Though I don't tell many people I've been. My friends would laugh...they're way cooler than me and mostly go to shows of bands I've never heard of.

That doesn't make them cooler than you. Especially not if they would make fun of you for seeing Neil. Imagine. Neil could outsing any of those crappy indie fronters any day.

Wow, I didn't know I was so emotional about this.

Even though I'm not a fan of "Last Christmas", I do like this song. It's one of those songs that you can't help but sing along to. And it always makes me think of my sister and brother in law, because it's "their song". And I like Ben Folds.
And another amen for how great Neil Diamond is in concert. I took my husband for his 30th Bday.
And I just want to see how many sentences I can start with "and".
