Can't...stop...posting

This is what happens when Matt sweeps Theo away for the morning on a Saturday. Faced with hours of freedom, do I clean the apartment? read a book? get showered and dressed? go for a run? Nope, I sit in my chair, stare out the window, and think of more and more things to blog about!

Like the fact that Theo got up at 8 a.m. today. I am pretty sure he was awake on and off since about 6 a.m. but just hung out sleepily in his crib while Matt and I hung out sleepily in ours. Do you understand the joy this brings? (guess it doesn't matter so much to me since Matt got up with him anyway)

Or the fact that I am about to make some yummy waffles.

Or the fact that I am planning to make some yummy Stake Visitor's Cake today or tomorrow on Bonny's/Esmé's inspiration.

I'll post recipes later...you won't want to miss.

It's gray and freezing outside but I don't care, I am so happy about sleeping in, not cleaning, not jogging, not showering, and eating waffles and cake.

Happy Saturday!

I haven't had a lazy Saturday in ages - we are off to the temple - a good place to be - but lazing about sounds wonderful.

I think I am going to spend spring break doing just that!

In order to inspire another bevy of great blog posts, I had a few follow up questions from previous posts.

First, have you noticed any changes in your comments, traffic etc. since you set your blog to private?

Additionally, how did your menu planning go a few weeks ago? Did you find that it worked well for you?

Betsey, thanks for bringing that up. I had not actually looked yet. It has been almost a month since I made the switch to login-only. I think I will do a post on this.

also--re:menu planning--it has been going well. Except that I made way too much food last week. I need to either freeze half (or more) right away (preferably before cooking/baking) or half or even third recipes. I just can't eat that many leftovers when I make a new meal every night.

I have that problem as well when I menu plan! I've tried to budget in a leftover meal one day during the week. My husband is great about eating all the leftovers (even if we have way to much, he feels a sense of responsibility about them!)

Mmmmm, Stake Visitors Cake. Unfortunately, I am not sure how to fit this into my "Healthy Lifestyle".

it has oatmeal, that makes it hearty.
