Then again I also like big changes that don't come around as often, such as buying a new house or a car, moving to an exciting new city, switching to a fun new career, getting married, or having a baby. Inheriting a fortune or winning an election are also good.
I like change in clusters--whenever I move, for instance, I get new sheets for my bed.
I feel like I have seen this picture around the blog world a lot. I don't know what people google to find it but anyway I love this haircut. It reminds me of my niece Esme. You know as well as anyone that I am all talk but every few weeks or so I really get this itch to go pixie.

Then today at the grocery store (while I was buying All-New All-Bran Multi-Grain Crackers instead of Triscuits; also I bought a new calculator) a lady asked me where I got my hair cut and proceeded to write down all the salon info. She liked the 'do that much. Jess you have some new business coming your way.
I realized that my desire for a big chop can usually be traced to needing a trim. That is often change enough for me. Kind of like how I am satisfied with rearranging furniture, or more likely (less work) rotating the area rugs.

I love that haircut. I wish that I didn't have a big head so that I could pull it off.
Also, I do the same thing with my sheets. I was noticing yesterday that we share many, MANY habits like that (and also sporadic singing and then suddenly breaking into normal voice, does that make sense?) and I forget where it came from, and then I suddenly remember.
You guys crack me up. Hannah, too bad you weren't at "the Y" when I was there. I have a feeling it would have been a lot of fun. I don't know why but your post made me laugh spontaneously - it felt good. I too like breaking into song on occasion and then talk again like it's normal. It's always normal to you but the person listening is just plain perplexed. Mine, typically, is on the phone though.
Eliza, since this is Your post, I love this hair cut. And only a few people can pull it off - you being one of them. But didn't you just mention you wanted to grow your hair out? Aand did Esme cut her own bangs? That's the conclusion I came to. She really does have a knack for fashion. Seems like the whole family does.
I've always wanted to be able to pull off a haircut like this too...the closest I've ever come was the infamous sixth-grade mushroom cut, with the high-priced mullet running a close second. Alas, I think i might be doomed to have boring haircuts forever...I've always been a little envious of your hair, though, Eliza. It always seems to look good, even when it needs a trim. So basically, I think you should just go for it. It will be great.
You should also feel welcome to come rearrange my furniture any time. Or rotate my area rugs. Well, pick out some area rugs for me and then rotate them.
I had a pixie cut for years - as a teen - and usually liked it and thought it looked good - but I was young, thin, unwrinkled and only had one chin.
So go for it - you meet the above criteria!
I like it. You should cut it like that and then pose for a picture just like that and post it.
I appreciated the dentist comment and guess it is natural to want to keep some areas to ourselves:) Dave & I agreed that you could do any hair and pull it off, so long..short..pixie- no matter, I think you always look great! I'm jealous your get to have Jess cut your hair and hate finding a new hair person. Maybe I'll wait 'til we come down next and have her do it- that'd be a great excuse to come down!
If only I didn't have crazy cowlicks, then I could do a super short bang.
You can pull of anything! Name a time and a day....

Dave, too funny! "for her hair is given to her for a covering" is my favorite.
