Recently Matt has become quite the Busy Bee in our ward.
"Oh yeah, let me tell you what busy is," my mom is thinking right now.
It doesn't sound like much but we have had a break of sorts, having been in three different wards within 6 months. He home teaches three families, is an elders quorum teacher, and a few days ago was called to be the 11-year-old Scouts leader who goes to Scouts each Thursday night (which is when I work and Matt watches Theo) and also teaches on Sundays, which I'm assuming includes the third hour (same time as elders quorum).
I'm not sure how any of that is going to work.
I, on the other hand, am not so busy, at least not officially. It's very nice, since baby-wrangling takes up most of my time at church and elsewhere. (Actually, until these callings the wrangling actually took up more of Matt's time at church. Ah well.) I still do not have a visiting teaching assignment and I am the "assistant ward organist."
Matt likes to call me assistant to the ward organist.

I'll be interested to see how you solve this one!
I really never had "busy" callings until Noah was 1 - and it hasn't stopped since.
(I had callings, but they were in Cub Scouts, Nursery, teaching R.S., a brief stint as a counselor in R.S. but that was before Eliza was born.)
Just to clarify--I was referring to Dad's callings when you had young children.
Although you have been busy yourself for as long as I can remember.
haha - baby wrangling - apt term.
You should get the Dwight shirt for Theo.
Did you see Thursday's episode? So funny.
that onesie is great. good luck keeping your head above water
So as assistant, do you sit up there and help her turn the pages? Or do you just whisper words of encouragement during the hymns?
As for busy callings, once they start it seems as though they never end. Even if you move A LOT. Just take my word for it.
I was thinking maybe I could carry her organ books from the car to the chapel for her. Perhaps I could turn the organ key before she starts, or warm up the organ with a little "Phantom."
