I'm a bit of a mix fiend, maybe because I don't have an iPod, I don't know. I made a couple of rather random mixes the other day. Some of the songs are really happy, and some are really sad, some are kind of cheesy, and some I just like.
It bugs me when I make a mix and then realize there’s no coherent theme. But anyway, this is some of what I’ve been listening to lately.

In our CD player right now:
New Dixie Chicks- Taking the Long Way
Neil Diamond- 12 Songs
Mix CD from my good pal Rachel
Gilmore Girls Soundtrack
Red Hot Chili Peppers (David's)
Jack Johnson
I am very much wishing that I had a computer that could change the music on my iPod. It's lacking in variety.
But... I am listening to a lot of music with synth. I'm having an expressionist moment.
Other favorites include my mellow playlist... Reservations-Wilco, Easy Way Out-Elliott Smith, Untitled 1-Sigur Ros, Freedom-David Gray. (I have told you this already.)
But I am also enjoying non-depressing music like The Postal Service, Ming & Ping, and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah.
I'm so indie rock.
ELECTRIC SIX - they are so amazing, I can't even tell you.
DIXIE CHICKS - definitely lovin' the new CD
and...
LOTS OF 80s stuff - I found a ton of $3 "AMAZING 80s" CDs @ Best Buy. So I thought, why not? And they're great.
Electric Six, never heard of 'em. I'll try it out, what kind of music is it?
Hannah, you are so very indie.
I've been hearing only good things about the new Dixie Chicks record and I like the 2 songs I've heard off of it. Maybe I'll buy it for myself as a treat for . . . being a nice person.
haha.
Electric Six sings "Fire in the disco! Fire in the Taco Bell!" Jack White sings backup. It's hilarious... I have to have you listen to it this weekend.
And I was kidding about the indie thing.
I knew you were kidding . . . so I was kidding too. FUNNY!
Also, I love anything amazing and/or '80s. One goal of mine in life is to convince Matt of the merits of Depeche Mode and Erasure.
