Possibly My Last TV Reference of the Season, Depending on Whether I Decide to Watch the Alias Finale

I was so happy to see Rex again last night!

Even though it was only in flashbacks, it was like the old Rex was back and the world was right again.

You never realize how much you're going to miss a guy until the neighborhood pharmacist kills him.

So, what is this all about - you need to give details for the less culturally elite in your audience!

And I used to make fun of Joan because she talked about celebrities on a first name basis!!

I'm sure Mike won't be dead. He's too important of a character, especially now with Noah dead and Paul in jail and Zack getting all that money. I bet something will happen there.

Plus, I don't want him to be dead either. Matt says he's the only guy left on the show who's not a total wimp. Which is true: Tom = idiot. Carlos = idiot. Karl = idiot.

Yeah, I guess the whole babydaddy thing is a good storyline but I never liked Alex in SBTB and I sure don't like her now! Mostly I just really like Lynette and hate to see that whole happy family get all convoluted.

Yeah, I loved Bree saving Danielle. I'll bet Danielle still thinks she's psycho though and will run away again. And now that weird dentist Orson moving in on Bree . . . Poor Van de Kamps.

I have spent far too much time writing this comment!!

Speaking of which, I watched about 30 seconds of Passions the other day. Yikes. I didn't recognize anyone (except Luis) and I can't believe I actually used to watch that show!

Hey Mom, we commented at the same time.

Yeah, referring to celebrities by their first names is a bit much. But talking about characters in a TV show is different. It's like talking about characters in a book, right?

Desperate Housewives is sort of convoluted (I'm only using that word again bc I realized I totally misused it in my previous comment!) so it's hard to explain. Last season finale, Rex Van de Kamp, Bree's husband, died, and I was oh so sad about it. This season finale, no one good died, but one guy (Mike) got hit by a car driven by a crazy dentist, and another guy (Matthew) who was bad, got shot by a sniper just in time, because he was about to kill Bree (in front of her daughter Danielle, his girlfriend).

And . . . a lot of other stuff too!

i watched part of the finale last night (the last hour) and finished the rest this morning.

I HATE the new Tom twist. It's a good story, and I LOVED how Lynette said, I had already let you go (she is an AMAZING actress IMHO). But I really liked their family and the normalness of it. So, we'll see.

LOVE the addition of Orson. Once again marc Cherry rears his ugly head about his feelings for Utah and it's inhabitants. But Kyle MacLachlan is doing an excellent job. Loved the prison dentistry insinuations.

I'm glad they are rid of he Applewhites and was surprised Zac killed his grandpa. Not surprised, but I'd totally forgotten about them.

Anyway, this comment is way too long.

I absolutely love Felicity Huffman. I agree, I think she's so great. I've almost-cried a few times at DH and it's almost always Lynette: her sitting in the park asking her friends why they don't tell each other how hard motherhood is--her telling Tom "I need you to forgive me" for getting him demoted--her telling Tom "I had already let you go." Plus she's just so no-nonsense.

Other times DH has compelled me to get misty include Bree finding out Rex died and Gaby screaming when they took Lily away.

(I'm sort of a crier.)

Yeah, I totally hate the new chick from Atlantic City, as I guess I'm supposed to. Geez, what a brat.

And I'm so done with Betty Applewhite. Although I'm NOT done with Felicia and I hope she shows up again (I'm sure she will, with her 8 fingers). She always cracks me up. Her spreading shortening on Paul Young's porch and then showing up with a bowl of cookie dough was one of my favorite moments.
