I see you're reading Huck Finn. I read it for the first time late last year. I greatly enjoyed it.
I've been taken with making my way through many of the classics of late. Always good reading.
Yeah, I'm halfway through and loving it! I have never read it before, for some reason. I'm sure I would have liked it as a kid. I haven't read Tom Sawyer, either, which I guess I should have read first, but oh well. I need to read more classics.
It's the kind of book I could sit down and read all at once, but I haven't had that kind of time. Maybe this weekend.
Bruce and I listened to Huck Finn on tape and had to pull the truck over to the side of the road we were laughing so hard. I love that book.
I was thinking I want to listen to it on tape or CD. Not only because I have to concentrate extra hard to translate some of Jim's dialect, but also because I can just tell that the story would sound fabulous out loud. It's funny enough reading it in my head.
