"Whistles are for dogs and cats and other animals, but not for children, and definitely not for me."

I noticed today that when my microwave is done cooking something, the beeping noise it makes sounds an awful lot like Captain Von Trapp's whistle. Funny how you notice these things.

I had all sorts of genius blogging ideas earlier tonight. At least, I think I did. Then I watched "The Bachelorette," and I forgot them all. Darn you, Bachelorette. This is actually the first time I've watched it. It was quite funny, but I don't understand how they can go through that ridiculous "rose ceremony" without laughing. I wonder if they ever have to do multiple takes.

It's snowing.

And...I'm out of stuff to say.

I feel so out of it - I have never even heard of The Bachelorette - it sounds like a studio apartment for unmarrieds!

It's the female spinoff of the show The Bachelor. Basically a girl has to (gets to) pick from a flock of attractive young males for an entire TV season. Every episode they woo her, individually or in groups (it gets weird sometimes) and at the end of every episode she eliminates one by giving roses to everybody but the loser. Sorry, loser...Eventually there's one guy left, and they get married or don't get married, but whatever, they get a pile of cash and their face on TV. Same goes for The Bachelor, but in reverse, obviously.
