Doctor! Doctor! can't you see I'm burning burning?

Seriously, how long has it been since I've blogged? Goll.

I'd like to take this opportunity that I've embraced the Utah-esque word "goll" wholeheartedly. I used to make fun of people who use the word, i.e. my husband. But now, I've seen its potential. Besides the fact that it reminds me of the Jed the Fish on KROQ saying "Golf!" in the middle of "Your Woman" by White Town (this is something only Hannah will understand, but whatever, I included it anyway).

Speaking of which, please check out "Your Woman" by White Town. Download it illegally if you must. I used to love that song when I was, like, 14. It's quite funny. If you find a KROQ version, maybe you'll hear Jed the Fish piping up "Golf!" in the middle of it.

Anyway. I don't know how those two paragraphs happened. I'd like to take this opportunity to say:

Sorry for never blogging. Soon after I finished school (on Election Day), my dear friend Katie came to visit, and there was no time to blog. I would like to add that I love Katie dearly, before I say that I'm pretty sure I caught some sort of virus from her. Katie, you'll probably read this before I talk to you, so don't feel bad. It just happens. Either I caught it from you or from someone at work, no big deal.

Anyway, so I've been doped up on various medications for the past week or so. It's actually quite horrible. I never get sick - I mean never - and I NEVER take medicine. I hate medicine. It scares me, and it tastes bad. But this week I've had little choice but to drink either NyQuil or some codeine-cough syrup concoction at night, and then DayQuil or some sugar pills from my doctor (as Katie would put it). Actually, I just started the doctor pills today, so maybe they'll work. I saw my doctor yesterday though and she was very little help. I'm up all night every night with congestion and a sore throat, but she said I have a bad cold and take these sugar pills, now that will be $15. Stupid copays. Although I'm glad I have insurance, so I won't complain.

One thing Doctor Doctor did tell me of interest, however, is that I have abnormally low blood pressure, or as Matt calls it "a big old cow heart," which may explain why I get dizzy all the time, especially in the morning. Apparently I need to start eating more salt and meat. Ugh.

Anyway. So that's life right now. Also, my mother is in town, which I have to tell you is actually quite fun. My mom is a very fun person. And she brought me Christmas CDs, lovingly burned by my dad (also a fun person). I love my parents. LOVE EM.

So the Monrovia blitz has been quite enjoyable overall. I've decided that I'd like both Katie and my mom to live much closer to me than they do. As in, several hundred miles closer.

Anyway. I've missed blogging. I really have. I too was disappointed by George's win, but oh well, our country is going to hell anyway.

I didn't mean that (totally), but I thought it would be funny to say.

Oh yeah, and I've exhausted all my sick leave at work. Kind of a bummer. I'm hoping this virus or cold or whatever the heck it is will leave soon, so I can get some decent sleep at night. You know that TylenolPM or Nyquil or whatever it is commercial where the guy is watching a movie about a werewolf and then he goes into his room and thinks a werewolf is in his bed, but it's actually his wife, who's really just very congested and can hardly breathe and her hair is all over the place like the frontman's of an 80's hair band? Well, that's what my life has been like for the past 5 nights or so.

If you don't know the commercial, then I'm sorry. It's kind of funny though.

I'll be glad when this sickness is over. Really. Because I'm all wheezy and whiny, and I can't exercise, and nothing ever sounds good to eat, and I don't like it.

Going to see "Ray" tonight with Matt and me mum! Should be good! It didn't get terrific reviews, but Jamie Foxx did, and I love Jamie Foxx, and I LOVE Ray Charles (aka "The High Priest," in my dad's words), because even though he was a druggie and a womanizer, he had amazing talent and more expression in his voice than any other singer I've ever heard.

And that's all. BYU is losing. Hannah likes her Sis Mix. My mom made me a dress last night. Kacy got bangs and a flatiron. My world is at peace.

Love: it's not night, so I'm not a werewolf anymore.

I'd like to clarify something.

It's actually not Jed the Fish saying "Golf!" It's a guy phoning in the answer to the question "what is Carson Daly's favorite sport/pastime/whatev"... and he just said it funny, so they put it in there. And Carson is the one saying "white... town... white... town... your woman... white... town..."

Remember when Carson was funny? Sigh...

Garsh, you have a good memory! Now that you mention it I DO remember that it was Carson saying "White...Town...White...Town..." etc. And no, I don't remember when Carson was funny. haha. Although I do remember when he wasn't famous... I never thought he was all that funny. Jed the Fish, on the other hand, is quite funny. It's the voice, I think.
