Thanks for Lars.

It’s impossible to distill the essence of Lars into words. He is unlike any other. He is beyond description. He is effervescent. Luminescent! Phosphorescent!

Why he’s greased lightning!

(Sorry—dumb Grease joke which doesn’t even make sense)

He’s so funny and smart and he love-love-loves to be outside. He’d be outside all day if he could. And whenever he can, he is. He was outside all day today. In 30-degree weather. He refuses to wear a proper coat, but I introduced him to longjohns and he loves those. And he likes wearing a beanie and gloves. So, I consider that a parenting win, even as he considers his coatlessness a childing win.

He’s mischievous, he’s full of nervous energy, and he’s the loudest child I’ve ever met, but he also wants to do the right thing and follow the rules and be safe. He's also really good at doing chores, although he complains (good-naturedly) at the top of his lungs while he does them.

He’s a good boy. And I love him SO. MUCH! He doesn’t like hearing that, though; but I say it anyway. Multiple times a day. Sorry, Lars! At least I don’t make you hug me. (Even though I really, really want to.)
