14 years

I forgot about my bloggerversary. Last month marked 14 years of blogging for me, and also for my sister Hannah who paved the blogging way. And our mutual friend Nicole. Social media platforms come and go, but blogging is forever. Mmmmkay? Here's where I'd put the old-lady emoji if I could. I'm not even on Snapchat. I'm not even!

One thing I really like about blogging is that the only people who read it are the people who want to. Sometimes with social media there's a sense of obligation involved. I mean obviously no one's holding a gun to my head and forcing me to swipe through everyone's photos, and "likes," and opinions about guns, but you know what I mean. I'm checking social media because it's means I'm connecting with friends and keeping up on the news. (And terrifying myself with the thought of Donald Trump making it to the general election) But I'm reading blogs because I'm old-fashioned and because ostensibly I am genuinely interested in what the blogger has to say.

So in other words, you're here because you are old-fashioned and because ostensibly you want to be here reading about whatever stupid stuff I want to write. Now you're stuck. There's no going back! You're stuck here! Wait, don't go! I promise I'll bring it up a notch.
