Last year, the place I used for our Christmas card photos (One True Media) took 3 weeks to process my order. I received them the day before we left for Utah for Christmas; finally I had just gotten some crappy wallet prints from Walgreen's (I needed 3x5s but most local places won't do those. what the.). One True Media refunded my money but it was still annoying and too late anyway. This year, the place I used for our Christmas card and Ida's birth announcement (a local store) took several days longer than they said they would AND they used the wrong image on the announcement. They refunded my money but it was still annoying. And too late anyway.
So, maybe next year, rather than pay money that I am likely to get back along with photos I don't want, I will just draw pictures, or have Theo draw pictures, or maybe turn my bathroom into a darkroom and develop my own prints. I guess I would need to buy a film camera for that, and also learn how to develop film.
The photo for this post has nothing to do with anything except that I like it and I have no new ones loaded to share. They're all still on my (digital) camera.

1990 - it was a good year!!
Just go to CVS and scan the photo on and the machine prints while you wait - I've done it that way for years.
The photos are not why my cards are late!
yeah-I'm slowly finishing cards today, too.
I want people to have something to look forward to after Christmas.
I liked your picture last year. I thought it was good. I use Shutterfly, it's expensive but ne'er a complaint from me.
I'm with Nicole, Shutterfly is the way to go. (I promise I wasn't intending to make that rhyme)
I have not returned to Wal-Mart's photo department since last Christmas' picture misshap. I stronly recommend avoiding Wal-Mart at all cost!!!!
Merry Christmas,
Alison
i don't even have the desire to think about doing cards.
sigh....
For what it's worth, I thought both the pictures were absolutely adorable. And for this very reason I have opted to do Valentines Cards instead.
AMENDMENT: So I have two things going against me, it's early and I have no glasses on. I did not see that you posted everyday until you left a (small) sentence about your going out of town. Hence, no posts. Therefore, my congratulations. I commend you for your commitment and perseverance of blogging and giving the rest of us 152 insights into your soul. I loved Dec. 22nd's post. So prolific and poetic. I think I will share it with my RS sisters.
