1. Matt realized the other night while on the new FamilySearch that his father's father's mother was named Rachel. (Ida was Matt's father's mother's mother.) When we named Ida, we just picked Rachel as a middle name because we liked it. Way to be up on our family history. So, if anyone asks, Ida is named after not 1, but 2 of her great-great-grandmothers.
2. This was our attempt to get Theo to hold Ida. I think we'll wait a while before trying that one again.

I don't know how you do it, but you are managing to write wonderful blogs, and recover, and take care of a baby, all with humor. I'll give you a call, but I was wondering if you are up to visitors today. We would love to stop in to say hello. And, to help anyway that we can.
Liza- I just had to add that I am also named after two great grandmothers and I love it. My middle name is Edith- which I hated for the longest time- but now that I'm older I appreciate the family ties! Little Ida looks so sweet and I can't wait to meet her!
