Attempt No. 1

Here's attempt number 1 at a Christmas card picture. Well, there were a couple of attempts, but this was the best of the session. Photog Hannah did her best, but I don't think her subjects were quite feeling it that night. Cute as we are in person, I don't think either of us have a modeling career in the future.

So, this isn't it. Too many distractions: reflection off glasses; awkward posing; partway tucked-in shirt; open plantation shutters; both of us needing a haircut; redeye, only partially disguised by my photoshopping attempts--distracting.

But there have been requests that I actually send Christmas cards this year.

And I thought I'd let you know that we're working on it! Starting small. And if it never ends up happening, at least you have this, attempt no. 1, to tide you over until next year.

I just love Christmas. Awkward photos and all!

Eliza, just wait until the kids come and then the fun photo sessions really begin! Though, I think digital cameras help the process because you can see the result right away, instead of finding out that there is something wrong with every picture when you get the film back! One of my favorite christmas pictures of my kids is hanging on my wall, and one kid is howling two are laughing, one is turned around, one looking the wrong way, it's quite funny and I love it, though it's not the one I sent out. I get lots of fun comment on it. (It's hanging in my front hallway)
So, enjoy the ones that don't work, they will bring fun memories.

i'm so glad you are giving it the old college try.

we need to our pic as well and have a great idea - we just need to have another person present.

we'll get on it.
