Calling all girls who loved dolls in the 80s & early 90s...

Actually, American Girl dolls have stayed strong since I was little. My sister gave my niece Ella an American Girl doll for her 6th birthday and it was her favorite present (she liked it even better than the Barbie Power Wheels one of her friends gave her - which makes me laugh, I mean what six-year-old gives her friend a Power Wheels as a birthday gift? Only in Malibu, I guess). Anyway. So, American Girls.

Somehow I got on some American Girl mailing list on my old AOL account, so occasionally when I check my AOL mail I get American Girl news. How funny, they made Nellie into an American Girl doll.

And there's going to be a Samantha movie on the WB!

I, personally, owned the Samantha doll. I liked all the American Girls though. All 4, haha. There are a bunch now. I actually liked the books better than the dolls. Part of the reason I wanted to go to D.C. in 7th grade was the Felicity books.

And the point of all of this is...?

I'm trying to avoid doing my LIS 541 homework. "In this portion of the exercise you will create two different web pages that utilize the server side include feature. On each page you will place an SSI directive that asks the server to include a third file in that page..." And so on. Impressed? Don't be, because I have no idea what any of it means.

Iron and Wine bugs me. BORING!!

Music: Vincent - Don McLean. Very cheesy song but I like it!
Love: Tomorrow's Friday! One day closer to my sleep-in day!!

What a timely post. My sister, Carly, (you may know her from such blogs as My Misadventures) just gave Maggie one of her old American Girls (Samantha). I was happy to see I can still get clothes for them and even MATCHING clothes for Maggie if I want to go all out. I can't believe your homework.

Oh, yes! The possibilities are endless with American Girl dolls. Hannah and I also had some like hair-permer stuff for our dolls. (She had Molly.) I think it had lotion and little curlers. Except it sort of messed up Samantha's hair.
