I had never heard of Mae Jemison until my kids’ school was being renamed a few years ago and she was one of the namesake suggestions. Now I feel like I see photos or quotes of hers all the time! Which makes me think, maybe I had heard of her sooner but just hadn’t noticed her…? Also… I wish she had been the namesake winner. Mae Jemison is a pretty rad school name.
I love what she says here about the earth and the sky, and letting gravity “give you a warm hug.” We live in a beautiful world 🌎
