Thanks for Hester

Hester and I go way back. All the way back to 1983. We spent lots of time together during most childhood summers when her family was visiting our grandparents, and then we lived together in college. She was a great roommate… thoughtful, silly, always up for shenanigans, quick to forgive if I threw a Winnie the Pooh doll at her head in the middle of the night to wake her up from snoring. I saw her in France last month after 6 years (!!!) of not seeing her. It was like no time had passed. I’m so thankful for her friendship. And cousinship. Love you, Hester!!

  1. I had a good friend who used to say that a true friend could go years without seeing you, but when you called for help in the middle of the night, she would be there in an instant! Time doesn't seem to matter to some relationships.
