Theo is a strong and brave and resilient kid who has overcome a lot of obstacles in his short eleven years of life. He helps Matt and me feel a wide range of emotions on any given day; he teaches us patience until we think we might break in half, and he also makes us laugh so hard. He loves his baby sister, so much it hurts a little. He is wonderful at doing chores. He is smart and curious. He is obsessed with sports—whatever sport is in season, he wants to know about it and how all the teams and players are doing. Like, he honestly seems to know almost as much as Matt knows (which is a ridiculous amount) about players and coaches and seeds and playoffs in just about every sport at every level. It’s beyond me, but I’m so glad that he loves sports as much as his dad does.
Theo works hard and wants so much to be good and to do right. I love him so much. I love him so, so much.
