My sister Bonny sent me this sweet little bracelet a while back. I enjoy it for a number of reasons, not the least of which is James Earl Jones's voice echoing in my head. Remembaaaa....whooo...you ahhhhh.... http://youtu.be/byDN8aoR4TI
But also I just like the sentiment. Today in Young Women the lesson topic was "Who am I, and who can I become?" I loved hearing the girls' thoughts on this. I want them to know that they are valuable, and that they can become better every day, and that they have something big to contribute to the world. I think these girls can find the right balance of confidence and humility to live good lives and be their best selves.
Sidebar--Ida has been losing teeth like gangbusters, and when she was working on pulling out one of her loose teeth recently (a task that she really doesn't like and that makes her super nervous, but she won't allow me to do it) I heard her in the bathroom giving herself a pep talk in the mirror.
[deep breath--sigh--] "You can do this. You. Can. Do. This."
For the record...that tooth is still hanging on by a thread. So, she didn't end up doing it. But at least she knows she can. ;)

My dad loved to pull out teeth - so I'd never divulge that a tooth was loose - so most of my teeth just fell out because the thread holding them on gave up!! (Or something like that!!)
