Behind the attic wall

I love our attic bedroom--soon to be baby's bedroom too, for a while, hence the bassinet.

It is small and the decor is none too exciting, but it is bright and calm and easy to clean and I sleep wonderfully in it even at 9 months pregnant. It's my favorite room in the house.

  4. That does look like a nice bedroom. I've been working on making mine clean this week so it will feel more peaceful. It was disastrous for weeks. Now it's looking better! But, yours looks even better!!!!

  5. What a great room. Your whole home is so inviting, Eliza. What a wonderful talent you have. You don't even have to spend money and you make it look like a million bucks.

  6. I should probably stop jinxing myself because I have slept horribly the past 2 nights. ha!

Also the only thing I dislike about the room is its summer and winter climate. We just put our window AC unit in for the summer, which is sorely needed in a tiny room with no cross-ventilation and inadequate insulation. And come Novemberish it will get mighty chilly in there. Fortunately spring and fall are great.

Thanks for the kind words. I have always ALWAYS had a cluttered bedroom. I have been consciously keeping this one uncluttered for the past few months and it feels so nice. It helps that I have a storage room to put the clutter in (although I should probably be tossing most of it instead).

Things like seasonal/maternity clothes; extra linens for guests; those are the things that ended up piled up in bins in my room in the past. That and whatever didn't fit somewhere else. Ideally I would love to have just an empty room with a bed and sconces. I could keep it so clean!
