"Self-absorbed?"
"--introspective. Wait, what? Umm...yeah, you're right actually."
"Yeah, like, 'Look everyone, my life is soooo hard, look at me.' "
"Yes, I get it, thank you."
At any rate, here's some lighter fare for you today.
Also, Ida was awake from 3 to 4 a.m. this morning and then instead of sleeping in, she decided to wake up at 6 a.m. It's 8:00 now and Theo just woke up super grumpy--I can hear him shrieking in his bed. On the bright side I have cleaned the kitchen and the bathrooms already!
Also funny about the 3 a.m. wakeup was that I could hear my insomniac downstairs neighbor turn her TV up after Ida started crying. Struck me as amusing; I guess you take what you can get at 3 in the morning.
Love these photos. Is Ida teething or something? Early a.m. wake up calls can be debilitating!!
ReplyDeleteHope you get a nap today!
It's a Sunday thing. Because of 1 p.m. church, neither of them gets an afternoon nap on Sunday and so generally someone wakes up that night. It's usually Ida.
ReplyDeletelove the one in the middle where Theo is looking lovingly at Ida and Ida is looking a little wary...
ReplyDeletewow, theo looks soooo old with his new haircut!
ReplyDeleteTheo doesn't look grumpy, the pictures are adorable, Ida is changing so fast. Hope you get to nap today.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your run this weekend you are awesome to be doing this, I am so impressed.
is that a new couch?
ReplyDeleteAlso, I am so glad that you married Matt. Matt = funny.
ReplyDeleteI knew you would enjoy that one, Phoebe. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, we did finally get a new couch! Two in fact. I need to take a picture, except I am still trying to figure out how to arrange them. Because with two long couches facing each other--plus now also we have a gigantic steel desk--our living room has been transformed into a doctor's office waiting room. I just need to put a stack of "People" magazines on an end table somewhere and the illusion will be complete.
Love the pics of the kids - they are both so adorable!!!
ReplyDeleteNothing to do with this post, but I thought you might want to know that the mp3 version of David Gray's new album is $3.99 today on Amazon.
ReplyDeleteWhenever I feel depressed, I want to blog. Yay! So I know what you mean. Who wants to blog when you're having fun? I like all of your blogs, whether fun or "introspective".
ReplyDeleteI was getting a little concerned for you because you seemed a little sad but I like that you are honest. And Nicole has a very good point.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm fine! Definitely introspective lately...and pretty serious. I'm kind of that way anyway though. It's a good argument for my keeping a journal--get it all written down but not necessarily share it with 150 people.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, can your kids get any cuter?! I love it!
