Mostly we will miss the pool.
I am including this picture (a) because Katie wants to see my belly (b) because I want you to see how Posh I can be with my unwashed hair falling over my glasses like that (So Posh) (c) so you can take a good look at our lifeguards.
Go ahead, click on the picture. What is that they're doing? Oh right, something on a laptop. Facebook maybe? Don't get me started on our horrible lifeguards. It's not that I'm worried about anything happening to my own child, since I am always with him...but my question is, why even have lifeguards? If I actually had to pay an HOA fee I would be furious that my money was going to something like this. If someone needed CPR, or even a backboard save in the deep end, I would definitely trust my pregnant self doing it over these girls.(At least they are slightly better than the ones whom the condo manager found asleep and drunk in the pool office a few weeks ago.)

Oh, how we will miss the pool...crappy lifeguards and all.
I say Theo is going to have a brother.
ReplyDeleteI would never have guessed that those were lifegaurds in the background. You know they tell all of their friends about their great job where they don't have to do anything. Your pool is really nice though!
I see lots of young people in jobs where they are not necessarily life guards, but they are not doing their job - and even get a bit annoyed when you ask for their assistance!
ReplyDeleteGives all the great young people out there a bad name.
Too bad.
And too bad about the pool closing.
Possibly my favorite thing about our lifeguards is that they don't speak English. No, they really don't. They are from Russia and just here for the summer. Anytime I have tried to ask them for anything, I have to do a little game of charades to communicate.
ReplyDeleteLike the time that a little kid pooped in the pool and I tried to explain that they should clear everyone out and dump in more chlorine. Yep, they had no idea what I was trying to say. Either that or they just didn't care about patrons swimming in poo water. You would have thought they would have enjoyed an excuse to kick everyone out. I went home anyway.
Then again I told the kid's mom and she didn't seem to care either, in fact she got back in the pool herself! People!
My favorite is still the smoking lifeguards.
