I Never Liked This Apple Much.

Red Delicious apples are not so delicious to me. Yet I'm pretty sure they're the only kind I ever tried to eat in my early years, and so I hated apples.

I still don't LOVE apples. But I do like a good Fuji or Gala from time to time (the small ones). I eat them because I'm supposed to. But as long as I'm trying to be healthy, I might as well enjoy the taste of this crunchy, tart fruit.

Unfortunately, Galas and Fujis, despite their superiority in taste, are not superior in vibrancy of color. Red Delicious and Granny Smith really are WHERE IT'S AT (Beck voice) when it comes to the ultimate image of the apple.

Too bad they just can't keep up where it matters.

By the way, even as I typed the phrase "small gala" into Google Images I knew I would come up with some unrelated snapshots. And yeah, I giggled a little to myself. Gotta get these breaks where I can.

12 more hours and 3 more papers to go until my winter quarter is finally over and that means there's ONE MORE LEFT until I graduate.

  1. There is always light at the end of the tunnel. I, too, am excited to see my semester end - because I am taking the last required class for my credential.

And try Pink Lady apples - they are good and they have a nice color!

  2. I love Love LOVE Google images! And small Gapples. Pink Lady too.

I don't know how "Gala apples" just erased itself and made "Gapples" but I'm going to keep it there.
