Interesting.
I go through music phases, as I'm sure many people do. I don't know how much this list reflects that, because although part of the playing and re-playing of songs comes from me saying, "I want to listen to this one" and clicking on it, part of it is just the Party Shuffle.
Lots of Norah Jones, yet I don’t notice myself listening to her that much these days. Not much Tim McGraw or Beck, yet it seems I’ve been Tim McGrawing and Becking it quite a lot lately at work. Lots of Ben Folds, which is a good reflection of my listening habits, although I didn’t realize how much “Brick” has been repeating. (A lot of Ben Folds fans dislike “Brick,” but I’m rather fond of it.) Lots of Radiohead, which is also a good reflection. I’ve only in the past year or so begun to appreciate Radiohead, and especially over the last few months. I’m tellin’ ya, those guys are stars. And I'm sure they're grateful to me for this endorsement.
Back to work.
That's so funny that BNC is number one on your list, because it is also number one on mine, with a whopping 52 plays. A lot of the others on your list are also on mine, including Cat.
ReplyDeleteMaybe iTunes really likes Brand New Colony.
ReplyDeleteI also listen to Green Eyes by Cold Play a lot. Norah Jones is nice and relaxing, but my most popular pick of hers is "Come Away With Me."
ReplyDeleteI like "Come Away with Me" too, but for some reason the line "Come away with me...on a bus" just really bugs me.
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh. she is saying on a bus? that is one of my problems, I am really bad with lyrics. Going to listen to it right now. I will have to turn off my repeat mode of "Breakdow" by Tom Petty.
ReplyDeleteYep, definitely "come away with me on a bus." I don't know why that bugs me, but it does. Buses can be romantic, I guess, but mostly they're uncomfortable and it's impossible to sleep when you're riding in them on long trips.
ReplyDeleteKatie, I was actually going to say that "Brick" reminds me of you! Even though it's a very sad song...mostly it reminds me of you because I remember you got that CD for your B-day when you had a slumber party with I think Angela and Mandy and me, and we saw The Wedding Singer at the old Monrovia Mann. Haha...that was like...1997. Or 98.
I remember the weirdest details. I'm not as bad as Hannah (she remembers EVERYTHING) but I do remember the most random stuff.
I can't believe Angela's getting married. Well okay I can, but still. When are they getting married? You know what, I just need to call you.
